Karine is an experienced solicitor admitted to practise in Victoria (Australia), England & Wales, and Hong Kong. With a diverse legal background spanning multiple jurisdictions, Karine brings a wealth of international experience to her practice.
Trilingual in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Karine is known for her ability to provide clear, strategic advice to a wide range of clients. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Fumens Lawyers, she provides comprehensive legal services in relation to commercial, property, business, intellectual property and wills & estate planning.
Karine’s expertise covers a broad spectrum of commercial law.  She regularly advises clients on retail and commercial leasing across jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand, and handles leasing and commercial disputes. Her practice also encompasses various commercial matters, including acquisition and sale of business, shares and assets, franchising, loan agreements, and is experienced in property transactions, intellectual property and wills & estate planning.
Before joining Fumens Lawyers, Karine held senior roles at other boutique law firms in Melbourne, where she managed complex commercial and property transactions. Karine holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom, and her background includes significant regulatory and corporate experience, including formerly serving as a solicitor at the Intellectual Property Department of the Hong Kong Government, and as a corporate associate at Hammonds LLP (now Squire Patton Boggs) in Hong Kong where she advised on listings, M&A, and corporate restructuring.
Outside the office, Karine enjoys travelling and music. She is also an avid language learner and loves learning Japanese.
