Eve Qiao practises across a broad range of commercial, litigation, and property matters. She was admitted to practise as an Australian lawyer in the Supreme Court of Victoria on 21 November 2023.
Eve spent several years studying in Hong Kong, where she developed the ability to understand and communicate in Cantonese, in addition to English. She relocated to Melbourne in 2016 and completed both her Bachelor degree and Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne, one of Australia’s leading law schools.
Before commencing legal practice, Eve gained valuable experience in the financial services industry, particularly within compliance and regulatory frameworks. This background gives her a strong commercial awareness and a practical, risk-focused approach when advising clients, especially in complex transactions and disputes.
Since entering legal practice, Eve has worked in boutique law firms for couple years, acting across a wide range of matters including commercial disputes, litigation, contractual disputes, transactions, and property and construction disputes. She regularly assists with end-to-end legal work, from advisory and drafting through to dispute resolution and court-related processes.
Eve is known for her methodical, detail-oriented approach, strong drafting skills, and ability to manage technically complex matters with clarity and precision. She is highly engaged in her matters and works closely with clients to ensure they understand both the legal risks and practical implications of their decisions.
With her multicultural background, bilingual capability, and broad practice exposure, Eve is well placed to assist a diverse client base with both contentious and non-contentious legal matters.
